PURWOKERTO – PBI UMP Study Program is considered as one of the best English Education study programs in terms of academic and non-academic achievement; the quality of students, graduates and human resources; quantity and quality of research and community service; excellent programs at national and international levels as well as other aspects that meet the rules and standards of BANPT.
English Language Education Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto succeeded in achieving “UNGGUL” accreditation. This information is based on a decree from Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BANPT) in 2021. This achievement cannot be separated from solid teamwork since early 2021. At that time a number of conversion documents from accreditation A to “Unggul” were prepared.
Furthermore, other efforts made are updating the vision and mission of the study program in accordance with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), collecting data on research activities, community service, and others.
By achieving superior accreditation, there are several changes that occur in the English Education Study Program. Among other things, the implementation of learning methods will change towards Student Center Learning, with an Outcome Based Education (OBE)-based curriculum. In addition, this application is part of the preparation for the submission of international accreditation documents that are being piloted so that they are eligible to be proposed in the coming year.
