PURWOKERTO – English Language Education Study Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) received the title of “UNGGUL” accreditation after taking part in Asesmen Lapangan from Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Kependidikan (Lamdik).

The assessment team, Dr. Atiq Susilo M.A. and also Dr. Didik Hariyadi Raharjo S.Pd., M.Pd. held a visitation on Monday-Tuesday, at the AK Anshori Hall, 3rd floor of the UMP Rectorate Building, 7-8 November 2022.

The Head of UMP PBI Study Program, Feisal Aziez explained, in the assessment, the assessment aspects included part A for the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) assessment.

Whereas for part B consists of 9 criteria, namely, Producer Vision, Administration, Governance and Cooperation, Student Affairs, HR, Finance, Curriculum, Research, Community Service, Outcomes and Achievements.

In preparation before taking part in the field assessment, he said, the lecturers attended technical guidance or training on LAMDIK accreditation, compiled forms, and also prepared the required documents, which were then submitted on August 26, 2022.

“There is more preparation when preparing the forms, because we have to collect all the evidence and documents for the last three years or even the last five years,” he said.

For two days, the assessment team confirmed the documents and conducted a series of interviews with several related parties.

Whereas on the second day itself is learning observation, where one of the lecturers becomes a model for later observation.

Finally, PBI succeeded in obtaining Superior accreditation based on SK number 664/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/XI/2022 which came out on November 15 yesterday.

Feisal hopes that the PBI study program can maintain this accreditation status and show that it has begun to improve the performance of its human resources, students, achievements and services. This status can support higher education accreditation to be Superior.

He is also plans to carry out international accreditation and start preparations at the end of 2022 or early 2023.

“Hopefully we are recognized internationally, and graduates are on par with graduates abroad, so that later graduates will not only become teachers in the country but also abroad, and it is also proven that alumni have been sent to other countries, especially to Thailand,” he added.
